I've been signing up for the monthly Atkins Meetups in NYC(http://atkinsdiet.meetup.com/). But they keep getting cancelled due to lack of attendance.

I'd love to meet some other low carbers in the city. Do you think that the Atkins theme is too restrictive? It could be suggested that they create a Low Carb meetup instead.

For those of you who don't know, Meetup.com is a clearing house for real life special interest meetings. It's a fairly nice deal that helps to get people together. It's nice to browse through the topics and see just what kinds of special interest groups might be available to you in your area. They cover the whole world, AFAIK, or as much as they can.
