I'm doing famously, joylorene, thank you for asking!

I actually regained about 12lbs again with the death of my husband 7 weeks ago. I've taken 6 of it back off again and the next 6 are in line to go.

It just goes to show that goal is not a destination - it's a journey!

I *will* be one of the 5% who maintain their loss for 5 years. I WILL! I refuse to falter over a couple of blips in the radar.

Oh I am truely sorry to hear about your loss! After reading your blog your husband seemed like a real nice friend and companion! Boy all I have to say is I really have no excuses - anytime I try to think of one why not to exercise or eat right I will just think of you and that you don't make excuses even though you have real reasons to have them!!

I showed your before & after pictures to my 16 year old daughter and all she had to say was DANG!! couldn't believe it was the same person.

Your melting page really gave me inspiration and your pictures - love them - boy they show how weight loss can really change a person!!

My thoughts are with you & your family - life is a rollercoaster and the only way to experience the ride is to stay in the seat!

I just lost my mother she was 64 suddenly in April and I've been using that as a crutch and I know it - but I have to get up and do something because lying in bed isn't helping my children or husband. So that is why I started Atkins "again" and am exercising.

I really can't imagine loosing my husband and your courage and dedication well all I can say is WOW!! Keep going!!

Joy

Just checked out your web site. You are so very inspiring. The pictures were incredible. They actually showed you melting away. I only hope I can achieve the success you did. I still have such a long way to go. Sorry to hear about your husband. Hope everything goes well for you.

Default Question

You don't have a journal so I thought maybe I could just post in here. First of all congrads to you. You are remarkable and you are someone I will look at as an inspiration....truely! My question is about the exercise thread.....I understand what you are saying and am curious. I am here to lose weight....yes....but also to get tone, fit, healthy and umm....sexy....lol. I want to be able to keep up with my three little ones. Or outdo my partner in the bed and so on. So what is truely best in your experience? Cardio, high intense, lifting.....
