Looks as though I'm over that typical "stall" that happens at onset of any weight loss. The scale - she be a-movin' again!! Wa-hoo!!

Never lose faith!

But the very main thing about it all is how wonderful I feel. I just can't get over that!

How long did your "stall" last? I lost 10 pounds right away and since then nothing! It's frustrating! I am NOT cheating - in fact I have been carefully recording my carbs and most days have around 20. I have upped my fluids in hopes that will help. How long do these plateaus last???

My stalls have lasted up to five weeks at a time. Drinking more water will help....and patience. Didn't take you over night to gain the weight now did it

Default My Stall

Week one I lost 10 pounds. I stalled next two weeks, but the body does that. This is my fourth week, and it's moving again. In fact, Friday will be a month, and I've lost 14 pounds.

But I religiously do moderate to high impact aerobics 30 minutes every single day, work vigorously in my yard on weekends, and do weight work every other day.

And I'm still in semi-induction. I say semi, as I'm not eating any added cards... but I'll have one slice of wheat bread during the week... or as last night a light beer (I chose my carbs wisely - ha!). I'm just not actively eating cards on a daily basis. (And thank goodness for pork rinds, which I keep around only on the weekends, which are my temptation days.)

It took me 5 years to put on 45 pounds. I know I'm not going to lose it overnight. Somehow I've managed to turn on that switch and now my brain recognizes that.

Now... if I could only quit smoking.... <grin>
