Question Does exercise break a stall for you, or matter at all?

Curious whether it's something that people find they HAVE to do, or in many cases if it does nothing for your weight loss?

Without exercise I stall all the time. It keeps my weight loss much steadier and increasing exercise has definitely gotten me out of stalls! It really does work.

Yes, exercise does breka my stall but so does changing the exercise routine if I am at a stall. I tend to use the same video or piece of exercise equipment for 4-5 days then switch to somethiing different. That really seems to help me.

when I first started out I would just walk for 45-60 minutes 5 days a week, but then my body hit a plateau so I now I do pilates and also joined a gym where I do cardio and weight machines.

The only excersise that works to lose weight for me is plain ole step areobics..
When I do the ellliptical machines I actually gain weight from putting on muscle, but at my weight I don't want it to be hard muscle.

Since April, I've been eating LC and walking daily (currently up to 3-5 miles a day). My weight loss hasn't stalled; rather, my weight has fluctuated since Day One. Some days I lose, some I gain...but overall, it's been a downward trend.

This week has been interesting, though. And fun! I added a one-mile jog to my daily walking (and walk/jog) workouts. Every other day, I carry light-weight dumbbells while I walk. I also started taking L-Carnitine and L-Glutamine in addition to my other supplements. The results? I've lost almost a pound a day for five days now. Don't know if it's the exercise, the supplements, or just my time for a little whooshing--but it's been great and I'm so motivated!

I don't exercise a lot, but I do jog for 30 minutes on a rebounder five times a week and do a bit of light strength training. I think it's definitely necessary for me, to keep my metabolism going if nothing else.

Works for me as long as it's very low intensity exercise. Once I start ripping muscle tissue the caloric defict becomes to high and eventually I have to stray from the diet for a day or two to heal.

It DOSE work, but it can cause some major hunger pains if you take it to far.
