Sorry but I know just how you feel, been there done that. I slammed on the brakes once in the car and made a hole in one, right into the cup of water

I hope they get your pics back. These darn electronic devices, if I could retrieve the pics I've lost on two old laptops...maybe someday, some how.

Aw, Meme - ya. I have an old laptop I am going to try to revive for that very reason.... there is a way around the Blue Screen of Death, I'm going to try that.

Just stopping by to say hi, Kat. I know you don't post in your journal anymore.

Where in the world are you these days? What's this of you working at an arboretum?? *ears perk up*

Hi Paula, nice to see you. I update when I've made any real progress...
I got a seasonal temp job at an Arboretum - it's a very popular place, lovely. Many things haven't been updated, they are struggling and have joined forces with the Botanical Garden, so everything is being changed slowly. My job ended in January. The place itself is wonderful and I have a membership thru the end of this year, but working there (I did not work with the plants) was a bear for me. I could not return for another season of that. I had to really gear up for some days to just walk thru the door.

Hi Renee! Thank you! I am back to some exercise, so necessary. I was trying to dig in my yard over the weekend to plant some flower seeds and I found out just how weak and wussy I am! Yikes. I am back to my Somersize basics, and exercise, which should help with energy. I have never had a lot of energy - ever. So here we go!

Default Wk starting Jun 24

Mon Jun 24 - 20 min dancing to Pandora dance station

Krystal Harris - Supergirl
Wed Jun 26 - (from the 90 day good habit thread) I did something to my back - it's hurt for 2 days... blurgh. I know I need to go see my chiropractor but financially - not yet. I chose 30 min of basic leg exercises and floor work.

Sun Jun 30 - about 50 min of unloading 1 1/2 ton of wood pellets for the pellet stove this winter, then climbing up top of the piles and straightening out bags as they were thrown up to me. I am counting that as exercise for sure.

tinypic just shut down...so now I have to find another way to post pix. They were pretty annoying, but photobucket won't allow 3rd party sharing or whatever they call it...I have google photos but cannot find how to bring them over to post here.
Wed Jul 17 - 30 min dancing to Pandora
Sat Jul 20 - got my Yoga book back. 30 min of A Morning Cup of Yoga.

Sun Aug 11 - 1 1/2 hrs of unloading the last load of pellets for the stove this winter. I was more up high on the stacks grabbing and positioning the pellets, so didn't have the worse of it but it was heavy and tiring work. I count it.

Wed Sept 4 - 30 min walk at wedding venue at arboretum
These bright flowers look like the poppy family to me but not sure...

The mammoth sunflowers are now top heavy with seeds and drooping...

Assortment of lavendar colored flowers...

Exquisite pale pink roses...

The roses on the trellis a few months ago are now abundanct rose hips...

Pretty yellow roses...

Another beautiful rose...

Golden berry bushes...

Cheerful community of daisies, they are always refreshing...

And their pink neighbors...

Turning leaves...

Some fall color and the Arboretum venue offices part of the house...

Pretty reflection in the pond...

More enthusiastic blooms...

Beautiful urn planter...

The antique statue guards the front door...

I really love the plantings in these urns...

A charming little side table along the trail...

The side of the house used for wedding ceremonies in nice weather...

A hydrangea tree...

The back of the lovely sprawling house...

The back terrace, where cocktails are served...

Grand elephant ear plants on the terrace...

A decorative spider web no doubt left because of Halloween coming, or did they just miss it?

Another planter along the front event rooms patio...

Bright red berries from a lone jack-in-the-pulpit...

Lovely autumn crocus...

Sun Sept 8 - 43
min walk around my old college campus in a nearby town and discovered a trail behind it open to the public - some cool discoveries back there. I doubt many people know about this trail - it was a great discovery.
Some pretty red roses - the kind that look like velvet in photos, the color is so saturated...

Nice perennial planting...

Very cheery flowers with Elizabethan-style collars...

Delicate flowers on slim stalks waving in the wind...

Little place to sit and relax (as much as you can at college)...

Climbing jasmine...

Multicolored changing leaves look like Mardi Gras colors...

Bright red leaves turning on the sumac...

Old abandoned barn...

I am guessing this is a lightning strike - nothing else is burned...

The path was partially blocked by overgrown wild roses full of rose hips...

Where the house used to be was a mint patch!

More outbuildings beyond the site of the house down the "road" now fallen down...

Debris left to the woods...

Late evening sun shooting a line into the woods...

Pretty Stella D'Oro lily...

These deceptively real looking baskets along the driveway are fake flowers... they serve the purpose...
