Vodka is from potatoes isn't it? Besides, it is distilled so it shouldn't have any gluten (even if it came from grains).

It took me a couple of years to work up the nerve to stop taking my meds for my autoimmune arthritis and find my pain wasn't any worse off the meds than on. So two weeks... I'd say you've got a ways to go. Oh, I did try once about 6 months ago, I lasted 2 days without the meds. But I was cheating a lot and eating crap things like chips (gluten free though) once a week or so.

But since I've stuck to low carb pretty much 100% and paleo about 90% I'm doing vastly, vastly better.

Well, right now I'm using the unopened vodka bottle as an ice pack- I went to lower the temp on the soup, reaching across the hot pot and scalded my right breast (through my dress and bra!!!)

It says "100% grain neutral spirits" on it- so it should be safe even though it's made from grain? Or should I continue using it as an ice pack only?

Russian Vodka is made from potatos. I don't understand how it's Vodka if it's made from wheat, but then gain they have wheat beer, so who am I to say. There are several premium vodkas made from wheat now.

I think I'll stick with wine for now (on the rare occasions when I drink alcohol) and save this vodka for an ice pack. I'm not exactly a vodka fan, and I'd rather not risk it.

Default gluten free beer

There is a wonderful beer made by Budweiser of all things! Its called Red Bridge. I have a friend with Celiac disease, she introduced me to Red Bridge, without telling me it was gluten free and I really liked it for the taste alone. I highly recommend it if you are a beer drinker but gluten intolerant.
