I've rarely had issue with this but lately it has really been an issue. Maybe because I'm eating lots of yogurt. I also think the protein bars might have been an issue. I'm trying apple cider vinegar now. Today is my second day of that.
I did find dairy caused those problems for me. Can't really take yogurt, milk, ice cream anymore. I occasionally have a soya yogurt, use almond milk and lacto free cheese. I would say though, also had stomach issues with dairy. Hope you find something that helps.
Sorry you're having this experience . The acv before meals and eliminating the bars especially sounds like a good start. This article from Chris Kresser has useful information you might find helpful (ignore all the ads ) .. https://chriskresser.com/the-gerd-d...hat-not-to-eat/.
Sorry to hear that. Maybe eliminate one at a time, starting with that protein bar…some of the fibers used could do a number on digestion, and yogurt is so useful in a higher protein approach.
I have not posted in a very long time. I am farming now, clearing 20 acres of fallen timber. I had maintained my weight until reading WAP's advice to eat sourdough. I still make bread but have quit eating it after a 2 year, 8 kg sourdough detour. I am back down to my high normal weight and loving life. I have reverted to fatty meat (I am carnivore). Too much fat gives me reflux.
If you want a high fat treat just make some brown butter bites. They are soooo tasty!
Hey Janet good to see you still active and see many other familiar long time members.
Cheers.
Happy to "see" you back here as well, with your good report of farming and getting back on track after a "Sourdough Detour". I’m tempted just by the name.
I started a journal (after 13 years) since you last visited. It is helpful to have a core forum, not on FB, Twitter or Instagram
