Default In tribute to Michel Montignac. A great food combiner passes away.

Michel Montignac, one of the fathers of food combining and low GI dieting has died aged 66. He passed away at a clinic in Annemasse, eastern France at the weekend. The cause of his death is not known.

He lost 28 lbs following his own plan.

I have followed his original diet and lost weight on it. At this time it was focussed on food combining. Later his opinions moved closer to a low GI diet but he always discouraged eating empty carbohydrates.

In the USA his diet was the inspiratiion for the Suzanne Sommers plan which enjoys widespread success.

I shall always have a soft spot for Montignac as his was the first food combining plan I tried after years of Atkins.

Thank you Michel Montignac.

That's too bad. That's young. I have his book.

RIP Michael.

Thanks for posting that Robert.
