You can make your own ice-cream.

2 organic eggs, separated.
60ml (4 tbs) cream
1 tbs vanilla extract
sweetener.

Whisk the egg white until it is stiff and fluffy. Use a big bowl.
Whisk the cream until thick.
Whisk the yolks, vanilla and sweetener.
Fold the yolk mixture and cream into the egg white.
Divide into four containers, and freeze.

This stuff is really low carb, and it tastes just like the real thing. You can even eat it straight out of the freezer. Do the whisking in that order and you don't even need to rinse your whisk between bowls.

Here is a real find for the LC guys:

Tesco Best Bitter, per 440ml can: 3% alc, 88kcal, 0.9g carbs.
Husband is very happy except when the local store runs out of supplies.

Unfortunately since quitting low carb, I have forgotten alot. About what I can/can't eat etc... and this time I really don't want to make mistakes because I don't know enough.

So, if you find a product that's low carb... be it some kind of bar, yoghurt or prepared meal etc (like the things that have already been listed in this thread)... is it sure to be safe to eat on a low carb diet as long as it is low in carbs? or should we be looking at other ingredients also? Could something be low carb, but have certain ingredients in it that will make you stall or gain weight? (if that makes sense).

When you are starting up again, stick to fresh food, lots of eggs, fish, meat, lots and lots of green vegetables, some cheese, butter, olive oil, cream, nuts etc. Try to avoid bars and low carb products until you are sure you know what you are doing and how they affect you.

The main thing to look for when you are reading labels is total carb count. Then look at fibre. Fibre needs to make up a significant part of the carbs or you can't eat it. Also, watch out for sugar in any form, and any form of fake sugar. Don't believe flashes on the front of the packet claiming "Sugar-free" or "No added sugar" or "Low carb".

100% correct, that's the plan in a nutshell

Bear in mind that fibre is usually already subtracted from carbs on UK labels AFAIK.

Yeah, our labels don't include fibre in the carb count... just remember to look at the hard carb number, not the "of which sugars" number (which is lower), because it's of no real use on LC.... the only "of which" that you can get away with is polyols, but that varies from person to person. (generally fine outside of induction, but a lot of people report badly upset stomachs and/ or stalling)

Just discovered a very handy LC substitute for ice cream. Buy some of the M&S brandy flavoured pressurised cream in an aerosol. Pump some into a container and freeze it. Tastes just like ice-cream and only 5g of carbs per 100g. Personally, I'd be quite happy with 50g.

Can anybody tell me what price they pay for Sunflower seeds right now?
I last bought a 300g pack at Tesco on the 4th November, and it cost me 45p.

Today I see the same 300g pack is on sale at £2.96. I'm in shock.

Doesn't sound right. Are you looking in the baking aisle? That's where you'll find the cheapest nuts and seeds.

Tesco are going a bit crazy with the price rises at the moment. I would try one of the other supermarkets

Hmmmm. Sainsburys are now charging 98p for 100g, up from around 22p a few weeks ago. I just bought a 500g pack at Holland and Barrett for £1.49 which was the best deal I could find in the high street.
I guess this is the new season stock and there was a lousy harvest due to the wet summer.
