There's this feeling of..."Whoa...there's a *person* in there...and she needs dressing".

Ohhh, Sara! I took my MIL shopping this week. She's been a widow for 8 months now, and it was HUGE step for her to try on everything I picked out for her. She got... EVERYTHING!!!
We chat every night, and during our conversation last night, she was telling me about her day. I stopped her, and asked what she wore/what jewerly/etc... and, she... GIGGLED as she answered! Now, you've got to know I've been married to Mr. Wonderful, her son, for over 20 years, and I've NEVER heard her GIGGLE!!! She pretty much said the same words you did above... What a VERY COOL thing!
E, you are right about getting clothing that FITS. Amazing. I have two boys, ages 7 and about-to-be-TEN! (ack!) Anyway, in Feb, I got into jeans for the 1st time in 14 YEARS!!! I REFUSED to buy jeans bigger than a 14, reasoning, "There's NO WAY my butt can look good in those!", but proceeded to wear baggy pants from Walmart, and WAY oversized shirts! (I comfortably wear a loose 18 now, down from a 24/26. Those 14's were TIGHT - but, I was 'n 'm!!!)
Long story short, , I'm just now getting comfortable wearing snug(er) fitting clothing, at least around the house! I had a Lane Bryant XL T-shirt on, and my youngest said I "looked about 20" with it on! He TOTALLY knew!!! I was shocked... and (secretly) pleased!
I'm not to the point of wearing stuff like that out SIDE of my house - yet - as I think "I don't wanna see it, why would "they"!!?!?" I have to remember that "people aren't thinking about ME, they are too worried about what I'm thinking about THEM!) A little atta time, huh!?
pen! I've been excited for you ALL day! Yep, YOU were on my mind as I was getting my hair cut! (I look adorable, by the way!) Did you say when you're new job started, and I can't find that info?
