Default Scaredy cows

I was trying to find out about hormones in dairy, and if cream carried more hormones than milk (still don't know, but apparently cheese does) when I found this scary web site:

Has anyone seen it? You might like to devote several hours to reading it! Needless to say, I'm trying coconut cream tomorrow!

Thanks! Long, but worthwhile--I am interested in following up on some of that research in my quest to get my kids to feed their kids the best stuff available and milk is NOT IT.

milk has was an important part in allowing western Europeans spreading and thriving, the vast majority of Europeans are evolved to drink it

however what they called milk and the carp that is massed produced are two separate things imo

i only drink organic grass feed milk, or ideally organic goats milk

you need to be wary of anti animal products propaganda sites like this, unless your vegan of course


any site that starts "milk is for baby cows" is generally run by nut jobs

Also, I would not pay too much attention to the rantings of an obvious vegan. You might find some reassuring info in websites such as this one: http://www.chuckdaniels.com/index/milk.html
If you scroll right down, the list of "NATURALLY OCCURRING MUTAGENS and CARCINOGENS
FOUND in PLANT FOODS and BEVERAGES"
is rather illuminating.

It always helps to look at the big picture.

Yes, obvious vegan!

The only thing to be concerned about is IGF1 in dairy products. Some countries give growth hormones to the cows, which increases IGF1. Also some people are just extra sensitive to IGF-1 (me for instance and many with PCOS) and dairy products cause high insulin spikes. But this isn't the same for everyone, look at your own reaction to dairy, if you can lose weight while eating or drinking a bit of dairy, then you have little to worry about - just pick a source without added hormones.
