Default How my tastes have changed......

We had a crazy day yesterday, and I just plain didn't feel like cooking, and the leftovers didn't sound even interesting. So I picked up Chinese food. A dish we had eaten for many years and enjoyed. It tasted awful, WAY, Way, way too sweet. I didn't finish but less than half of it. Heated it up this morning, yeah, I know it's weird to eat it for breakfast, but I often have dinner food for breakfast. I added water, and more rice to unsugar it's taste, and it was still awful. The fried rice which I used to love, was...Meh. It is all sitting here to mix with the fur kids dinner tonight.

I am amazed that I disliked it so much, and was so sensitive to the sugar. I haven't done a keto check, but might just for kicks and giggles. Now if the bakery-made danishes my friend broke my arm to try a month ago, tasted as bad........damn that was a good danish, not quite dreaming of it, but.....
Back to my regularly scheduled way of eating right now!!

I have experienced just the same thing with several foods since going paleo.
I gave up all wheat products some years ago when I found out I was allergic to wheat. The smell of bread or the sight of pasta would really get me craving.
Some years later my doctor wanted to test if I had celiac disease (I had some digestion problems at the time) and said I would need to eat a lot of wheat products for 4 weeks. I thought it was going to be great to taste these things again. My girlfriend at the time always bread that were a little special and a little on the expensive side. My first taste of bread seemed great for he first few chews and then it seemed to just turn to a horrible stodgy, flavourless lump. It was the same with wholemeal pasta. I really didn't enjoy it anymore. From then on I completely lost my cravings for bread and pasta.
I also had a taste of a biscuit (cookie) that had been one of my favourites as a kid but all I could taste was sugar. YUK!

My tastes have changed drastically

Foods i used to love now taste like a mouthful of chemicals and leave a vile after taste for hours ...

Many veg that i would never eat now taste delicious (aubergine for example, never ate it, love it now)

But the worst are the cold sweets i get for 48 hours after eating cheap processed food, especially cheap indian food
