Plan: Low Carb Primal
Stats: 170/135/135 Female 5ft.6in.
BF:
Progress: 100%

Default Four years!

I've been telling everyone I've been a low carber for 3 years, but I looked at my profile here this morning (to find out how to add a signature which I still can't do) and discovered I began on May 2, 2010. 4 years, 1 month and 9 days. Where did the time go, how did I mentally wipe out a year?

Don't know why I felt the need to post this, except perhaps that I've never stuck to a "diet" in the past for more than 2 weeks, so 4 years is a helluva milestone for me.

Wow, how great that you've done with this, I'm impressed! Good for you...I know the longer a person does this successfully, the better it "sticks."

You will, you will. After all, we started at the same weight and live in the same place! Just one more item left.

I love that you posted this.
Agree it is a life style not a diet.
Now to remember that myself.

Thanks for posting - you long term successes are such a huge inspiration for me, mostly for the fact that you're still engaged rather than the actual numbers in fact.

And I love your new signature : "Some, a few, a little, a slice: these are not your friends"

... especially as the past few days I've been having
SOME cherries
A FEW bites of peaches
A LITTLE apricot
A SLICE (well, sliver, but still...) of the raspberry bars I made for my son's school picnic...

That quote is going into my "best of"... thanks!

Somebody else said those words in a post on this board quite some time ago and I wish I could remember who, to give them credit. It resonated with me just as it has for you. I use it as a mantra literally every day, sometimes several times a day because, like all of us, I have those choices to make everyday. When I've suffered carb creep in the past it has always been due to rationalizing that "a little won't hurt". Which is a dangerous, head-in-the-sand, lie!
