Default Acocado at CM meals?

Hi guys

Just curious as to whether you eat avocado at complimentary meals or not?

My carb counter says that for a small one (200g) it only has .6g carbs?

Some input would be appreciated

Many thanks

Bluebell

The USDA Nutritional Database says that avocados have 1.8 net carbs per 100 gr. edible part.

I find it's a pretty good site, here's the link:

hi-
I wish avocado could be part of CM meals- but according to the Hellers it is RM only. We do not use net carbs, or measure carbs, and this is the way it is. You can eat them if you want, but it is not on the CM list. Artichokes, zuchini, squash and red peppers are also RM only. So are Brussel Sprouts and broccoli- in the original CAD book. In the latest CAD type book, CAHHP, brussel sprouts and broccoli are on the CM list.
This is just another example of atkins and CAD being different.

hi-
it depends on you. In CAHHP, zuchs are listed as RM only. It can be a YMMV issue- I have no problem eating these veggies for CM, but it can affect other people. I will eat zuchs, brussels and broccoli for CM. The others are RM.
See how you do.

Do you have any of the books? If you are just depending on the Cheat Sheet, IMHO it is not enough. I'd recommend CALP.
