Hi Ace I'm not a teacher but the fact that you live in Cheshire caught my eye so I thought I'd reply, welcome or welcome back. I looked at your profile and see you were here previously, I also notice your name was Alan so I suspect you might be male.
What exactly is the problem with induction and teaching?
The blood sugar problem I cope with by carrying babybel cheeses in my handbag or pocket, I'm never without one although whether you could eat one as discretely in front of a class as I can in the office is debateable. I find my blood sugar stabilises in a matter of days when I do strict low carb.
My usual plan for induction is hard boiled egg and cheese for breakfast (easy to eat while stuck in rush hour traffic). Meat for lunch, usually something cold from the night before. Then for my evening meal I can have my salad and veg allowance with whatever meat, fish, cheese or egg combination I can be bothered to cook. As long as I take a good multi vitamin and drink plenty of water I've never had any problems.
Hope this helps, keep us informed of how you go on, I'm currently trying to stay inspired long enough to crack the 12st barrier, I got within 3 lbs last year but then lost the plot and have been gaining and loosing the same 7lbs since then but this time I know I can do it!
