Default I was a bad girl on vacation!

Went on vacation to Vegas for 8 days. Left home at 243.4lbs. Actually started cheating the day before - I didnt want to have a bad welcome to Vegas with stomach troubles! Have not had any major cheats since Jan 18th. The odd meal (birthday dinner with carrots! or sushi) very very rarely. I was commited for 6 months before going way off plan. Anyway, I ate a lot of food. I do love Vegas buffets and tried some different items.

I must admit though that my mind has changed a lot. I think about food very differently. I made many better choices than I made before, but didnt feel deprived or felt like it was a choice. I opted for sugar free desserts (surely not low carb, but a better choice) and definately my portion sizes were way smaller. Never went over 2 smallish plates the whole time! Lots of sushi and smoked salmon and prime rib.... no breads or pastas. Not because I couldnt have them - I just didnt want them. I did indulge in alcohol. Oh and some Toblerone chocolate.

Anyway, the damage was done... by the end of the week my boyfriend and I were both saying - I cant wait to go back to eating the way we did before.... the sluggishness and the need for food only a short while after eating was a pain in the a**.

Got home Thursday - right back on track Friday.... Today Sunday (only 2 days!) I am at a new low 243.2lbs. I know flying bloats me, very visibly on the ankles, but really I mustve had carb bloat and a few lbs of regain. I am back on track, feeling better (still hate all the cooking and prep!) and have quashed the cravings already. Low carb is for me I admit. I dont encourage cheating and certainly will not use this experience to excuse me going off plan randomly..... I am just thrilled I am able to be back on track so fast. I am a lucky lucky girl!
