Talking 8 days and still going!! WHOO HOOO!!

Hi everyone...so far so good! 8 days, my jeans feel SO much better..thank god. They were verging on really uncomfortable!
I am a little concerned, the doctor put me on antibiotics for a sinus infection and it feels like they are interfering with my ketosis. The strips are light purple now instead of dark. But, I guess I have to breathe, so there really is no choice there!!
Have a great day!
Jen

Hiyah, Jen. Don't worry about those ketostix. Lighter is better as far as colour is concerned. Dark usually means you're dehydrated and not drinking enough water. I never get above small or trace on them and I'm losing steadily. You actually want them lighter, too many ketone bodies floating around in your body and it starts to think it's got more than it needs and fat burning suffers.

I know that certain medications do interfere with this WOL but I am not sure about antibiotics; however I am sure that someone will come along shortly with all kinds of information

Hang in there and I'm sure those jeans will be falling off you
Nat

Default congratulations

Way to gooooooo....Freezin. Not sure about the "freezin" nick...but you won't be cold for long if you're lowcarbing. Most of us lowcarbers tend to fine we feel warmer.

Sounds like you're doing great...over half way through induction...take it one day at a time.

Don't you just love jeans you can actually breath in?? I do!

Default hot flashes?

There was mention of "feeling warmer while low carbing" is that normal? I was DYING the first few nights. I have not been through menopause, but I can only imagine that this is what a hot flash feels like...
