father's day brunch was at a very fancy new restaurant--
brother was late (as always)- so mom ordered cheese plate for table. they wheeled out a cart, which we picked from, which was neat.

i also had a bloody mary.

for brunch, i had a frisee salad with thick cut homemade bacon and a poached egg, in a sherry vinaigrette.
i also ordered the mussels, which were in a butter/ fennel/ Ricard/ saffron. i have never had mussels with saffron before- but the flavors were amazing together!

i rounded it out with a bite of their signature french onion soup (Dad's) and bite of boyfriend's grilled red leaf salad, plus a glass of champagne.

it was all excellent!

steamed egg
2 babybel
a few baby carrots (real babies, not "baby cut") with sf BBQ sauce- i made them carrot fry style by roasting them- yum!

snacks: wasabi seaweed crisps, and then sf strawberry jello

Beef stew. Tasted more like beef soup. Good flavor, but a little too much salt. I got it from work; it was leftover from a dinner service. Those guys need to lighten up on the salt.

We are not deer.

low carb sushi: tuna salad with cucumber, mayo, avocado and green onions wrapped in nori and topped with wasabi. Green salad on the side with ginger vinaigrette.

Grilled cheeseburger w/all the fixin's, including lots of thinly sliced red onion. Delish. Oh, I had to splurge on a diet coke. Haven't had one of those in ages.
