Default Anyone knows where I can find Pork Rinds around Montreal ? or online?

I have been to every super market in town, Super C, IGA, Metro, M & M etc. and no one knows what they are ( I had to use the term oreille de criss ) and even then, they weren't sure.

Anyone know where I can find some either online or near montreal?

Thanks guys!

I've never ordered rinds online, so, bare that in mind.

"bare", or " bear"?

Check the Real Canadian Superstore or Walmart (I assume you have these?) or 7-Eleven. Look for Old Dutch brand or Bakenets or Trophy brand. Carried by many stores here, but I've had to ask for them once or twice.

Out here, they are usually well hidden in between the potato and tortilla chips. Always ask at the Service Desk if you can't find them, they either find them or ensure the distributor brings them in.

Ya, Wal-mart. They're hanging on the shelves where all the pop and snacks are, not on the shelf, but on a clippy thing like beef jerky is usually sold.

Careful, though... they have a ton of sodium and calories! and can be addicting.

I can only find them at the corner convenience stores, the grocery stores never have them, nor does the Walmart in Gatineau.

Default Pork Rinds

Hi,

I just register to the site to answer your questions. I found them at this store

Kim Hoa
4843 Des Sources Boulevard, Pierrefonds, QC H8Y 3C6

I guess you can find them at those asian grocery stores. They are 1g of carbs per servings of 9 pork rinds.

Hope this helps.

Drive to NY, there is a Price chopper right over the border in Champlain or make a day of it and go to Plattsburgh.

Frito-Lay makes them under the brand name Bakenettes (I may have misspelled that). Call their head office and ask who carries them in Montreal.

Go to any of the Chinese Groceries and you will find loads of pork rinds. That's where I get mind.

Try Kim Phat on Jarry & 19th avenue, near Pie-IX boul. Or Marché Hawaii in Ville St-laurent on Marcel Laurin near Cote-Vertu. Both locations hold plenty of varieties

My source for most meat products. Ask for pork rinds or "chips" as they are fondly called!
