Default FucoThin

I just started taking FucoThin today for my metabolism. I like the benefits of seaweek and pomegranite oil and if it speeds up my metabolism that is even better.

Is anyone taken this? I would love to hear some input.

Update on the FucoThin.....my weight has dropped 3 lbs. in 5 days. Not sure if it is the FucoThin or that I have kept my cals to 1200 or under including low glycemic carbs.

I will keep track of this and report back.

HerbNurse,

The wording FucoThin makes me think of fiber - is it working for you the same as bulk fiber would work? Glad it's working for you.

No it is not filling me up like bulk fiber would. It is a thermogenic suppose to boost metabolism and has so many benefits. Fucoxanthin which is found in edible seaweed is a key ingredient that help with your ability to boost fat metabolism.

Here is a link where you can read how this product can help promote weight loss along with diet and exercise of course.

Many years ago I lived in Japan for two years as a Photo Journalist where seaweed is widely eaten (even as a snack).

I began eating seaweed for estrogen therapy, as it's great for hormonal issues as well as an array of other issues. I'm now past all those issues but I continue to eat it today.

I'm not sure of the 'true' comparison of fresh seaweed to pill form. Pomegranate is great fresh but I find manufactured Pomegranate is usually loaded with useless additives (put then thats more of a personal gripe I have).

I've lost 112 pounds and although weight loss is not needed for me I would be interested in it for all the other benefits it containes. It looks like a decent made product.

Keep us posted on your outcome.

Thumbs up Update

UPDATE

It has now been 10 days since I have been taking FucoThin. I weighed 168 upon starting and am down to 164 now. More importantly on 4/30/07 I measured...especially my trouble areas

Hips 42 3/4
Waist 32 1/4

Todays measurement:

Hips 41 1/2
Waist 30 1/2.

I would say that is a pretty good loss in only 20 days (10 of which was taking FucoThin). I try to keep my calories to no more then 1200 and eat low glycemic carbs most of the time. I only workout (includes 20 min HIIT and weights) Mon, Wed and Fri.

I don't know if the FucoThin has contributed to this loss around my middle (claims made by manufacturer) but I am going to continue taking it because if nothing else it has such great benefits and if speeding up my metabolism without stimulants is one of them then HOORAY!!

I will continue to update my progress.

I also have been curious about this product.

What is the daily dosage. I couldn't find it on the website.

Update:

I am not sure if my loss is from FucoThin (started 5/10/07) or just me being more aware of what I put in my mouth but here are some stats:

4/30/07
weight 169
waist 32 1/4
hips 42 3/4

6/03/07
weight 163
waist 30 1/2
hips 41 1/2

4/30/07 thighs
weight 169
23 3/4 left
23 1/3 right

6/03/07 thighs
weight 163
21 1/4 left
21 right

It is suppose to increase metabolism and help to breakdown and get rid of adipose fat in problem areas like mid section.

I think that is a big change in measurement for a 6 lb loss no matter what it is from.
I started on fucothing thursday. The doc thought it was bunk(of course!) but said there was nothing in there that could hurt me.
I'll do measurement to double check also. Oh as a NOTE: I'm not doing low enough carbs to show ketosis but did have a loss since thursday on an average of a tad over 1600 cals daily.

That is awesome rodmick that you have had a loss since Thursday. Yes...do take measurements and focus on those more then scale. I was totally blown away with my measurements and I had cut back on my workouts for about a month to give myself a rest. I am now more motivated then ever to really step it up and do some sort of movements for 30 mins. 7 days a week.

The doctor is right.....it won't hurt you any as the brown seaweed and pomegranite oil has great health benefits. Even if it is just acting like a placebo for me....I don't care...I will keep taking it.

Keep me posted on how you are doing.
