Default Q on L-glutamine & L-caritine combination

Hiya, I was reading through the atkins book again recently and came across a section where he said it may be beneficial to take L-glutamine whilst on the diet to prevent muscle wastage.
But, I was in the herbal shop today and the woman said thst also good to take would be L-caritine because it's meant to help with speeding up metabolism.
Now, I bought the L-glutamine and intend on starting to take it asap - but can I take the L-caritine at the same time? Has anyone tried and what essentially is the difference between the two products??
Thanks!
Emma

You can take both.

I think of L-glutamine as reducing craving and working on muscle metabolism.

L-carnitine releases energy and fosters insulin receptivity as well as other good stuff.

Can you tell a difference in how you actually feel, or do you
start losing more weight. I just ordered the L-Carnitine today,..
