Default Lyrica?

My rheumatologist just prescribed this for me (well, he prescribed it last time but I was hesitant to take it and just started taking it today.)

My main concern about taking it was potential weight gain- which he thinks shouldn't be a concern because of the low dose.

So I took one pill this afternoon and now I'm tired and dizzy and have a headache and generaly feel more achey than I did before taking the med. That's not supposed to happen, is it?

Ok, I spoke to my dr and he said to completely stop taking it, and seemed surprised that I tolerate Ultram so well and can't handle Lyrica, since dizziness is a more common side effect of the Ultram.

Whatever. Today is a completely wasted day as I'm just feeling "wasted" from this drug. I hope I'm back to normal by tomorrow. I napped for an hour and a half and woke up just as dizzy. It's just so frustrating when I started out the day feeling so good.

I'm not even attempting lowcarb foods when I feel like I'm on a boat and it's not really safe for me to even deal with knives or the stove. I managed to bake chocolate chip muffins earlier (at DD's insistence and with her help) and that's likely what I'm going to eat for dinner.
