Default question re Allen Carrs quit smoking book

Can anyone tell me what type of book this is? I've read that he doesn't tell you what you already know or use scare tactics of the risks with smoking, etc..but is this like a meditation process or hints and tricks to stop or what? Not asking anyone to give away his trade secrets (unless of course you feel inclined ) but I would have to order the book from the UK and by the time I pay postage, customs, etc it can get expensive and will take about 2 weeks, so I'd like to know a little more about it, if possible.

Thanks!

This is an excellent self-help book. No scare tactics, just common sense. It helped me to realize that most of the addiction (at least for me) was psychological. I had pretty well decided it was time to quit because of the cost, (cigarettes were competing with my rent), but until I read the book, I was too scared to try. It gave me the confidence to go for it.

btw I don't know where you are, but I think you can order from Amazon either US or Canada.

The book, IMO, pretty much explains that your really not "giving up anything", your gaining everything.

I live in the US & found the book at Barnes & Noble.

I stopped smoking after reading this book. But make sure you READ THE WHOLE BOOK AND YOU FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS.

It was so easy to stop! I was amazed.
