I've been reading this meat/egg thread for the past 3 days. I started yesterday. Today I was already down 2lbs (in one day) I love it. I said I would not weigh myself until day 3, but I could not wait. The only thing is today I ate about 8 small fresh raw spinach leaves with my salmon, I can't do all the eggs. I think I consumed maybe 1-2 carbs in the spinach, and only a small amount of seasoning on the salmon, I'm drinking over 64 ounces a day, and I have so much energy, and no hunger. Another thing, In september 2006, I had a TAH (hysterectomy). I immediately started menopause and the hot flashes were horrible, and since I started the Meat/Egg, I've only had 1 minor flash in 2 days. I have an aweful metal taste in my mouth, and I know that is a sign of ketosis. I am so glad I came to this thread. I was successful on atkins 2 years ago, and maintained, then after my surgery I started eating things that just ain't healthy. I turned into a junk food junky. I kept trying to restart induction , but failed cravings would kick in and I'll give into the cravings. I love this, and I am looking forward to succeeding finally.

& JRSM126 you can read all about how this meat/egg diet started way back on the beginning pages 1,2, etc That's what I've been doing the last 3 days.
Such great success stories, they serve as great motivators
