I would love to join you. How do I meditate? just relax and let my mind rest or think of something relaxing and soothing?
I sure could use some relaxing these old sore muscles of mine. I was told I have fibro but I think its just due to tension and stress.
I don't sleep good at night time either and I feel meditation might help me with that problem.

Hey, sissypoo. You can meditate and visualize a variety of different ways. One way is to focus on your breathing. Another way is to choose a word, like love, peace, "om", relax, health, "one" or some other simple word that means something to you and helps you relax. You don't have to say it out loud unless you want to. Just something that you can focus on so you don't have other thoughts going through your head.

There are lots of other things you can do as well. Stare into a candle flame or into a crystal, for example.

Since you mention your sore muscles and difficulty sleeping you might try thinking the word "relax" or "sleep" on the inhale and the exhale.

Just a few ideas to help get you started.

Hi SissyPoo! Have you by chance read A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle? I haven't watched Oprah in years, but tuned it in when my favorite author, Louise Hay was on. During that, I learned about Eckhart Tolle. I am using Tolle's techniques for being calm and in the "present" and trying to use it with my eating and sleeping. Oprah and Eckhart did a ten week class by internet on the book (a chapter a week). It is available free on her website if you are interested. Nice meeting you!
