Default My up and down and up again then down again weightloss story.

Hi evryone, I have been attempting to address as many posts, threads and forum that I can today that seems to pertain to me. My story is a success stroy although I have yet to reach my goal weight. In the beginning my goal was 125 lbs...and I would still like to get that far but at the moment, I will be happy with a goal of 135. I started Atkins about 5 1/2 years ago...it will be 6 years this November. I lost weight quickly and was quite surprised with the successful loss and my healthy lipid panel. Although the loss slowed considerably, I continued to lose until it happened. I became anxious to break my stall so I began incorporating chromium in my diet. I began to gain steadily after that. Even after I quit taking the chromium, I continued gaining. Even though I trained for a 5K and was sucessful in the actual run, I continued to gain. I began to credit peri-menopause for the weight gain. Regardless I had to do something without changing my dietary regimen. Last April for my fiftieth birthday, I began intermittent fasting along with low carbing. It took time to become adjusted to the change but it was a good change. I have been doing a combination of LC/ IF and I have lost 20 lbs. See my stats? My scale has actually been reading 143 lbs on occasion but I will not post that. My next change will be when I get down to around 140 lbs THEN, I will post my weight as 143. LC and IF pretty much keeps my body in ketosis and I think that is what the doctor ordered. One thing I need to share is although I was gaining, I was determined to stick to low carbing because it is the best way to eat. It is the way I love to eat and I enjoy it. I hope this sends a message to people who decide to give up on the diet just because they begin to gain weight. Stick with it until you find the answer to make lc work again for you. Another way that I look at my struggles is that I have nnot struggled with this and just let my weight go wherever it wanted, I would be close to 200 lbs. With that thought I consider myself losing nearly 80 lbs
