Default 240's

I haven't seen the 240's in probably 15 years.

Well, today they decided to make an appearance. 249.5 I am a daily weigher, and yes I know I will probably creep back into the nasty 250's this week. But I just couldn't believe the scale told me I was under 250.

Time to order a Pizza and get some beer to celebrate...just kidding.

I wish I only started last AUgust, that would be an amazing loss

I actually began back in 2003, and quickly went from 340ish down to the 265 to 270 range.(within less than a year). But I hung there for quite some time before kind of giving up. Around last Christmas I had slid back up to around 285 and decided enough was enough, and decided it was now or never.......time to reach goal for good.

The plan is to reach my goal weight(+10/-10) by Christmas, which would be around 6 to 7lbs a month from here on out. As I get closer, it is going to get harder........not just because those last few are hard, but it is also a point my body is likely to resist since I haven't been there in forever.

Thanks for the congrats, getting back on here and posting is certainly helping. It provides accountability for my actions without the vulnerability you sometimes feel while opening talking about the struggles with your friends/family.

Well I hear you. I have been "starting" for 5 years now. This is the first time that I know for sure that I am not quitting.

Regardless of setbacks..you have accomplished something great. The setbacks actually make it a bigger accomplishment. Many people give up when they realize that some days will be failures.

I will admit, I am a smoker. While some people call me crazy, I have decided the weight loss comes first. I don't recomend it for everybody, but for me it is the only way. I simply can't attack both issues at once.

Well I decided if I could commit myself to this way of eating and adjust so well to it that now I dont even think about what I eat I just eat what I am suppose to, that the quiting should come along soon. I can tell you this, it has been a struggle to quit, but I think this way of eating has helped because I am so focused on my meals that I really dont think of the smoking as much. (if that makes sense) I do have help with the smoking...I am taking Chantix and its a lifesaver so far. I am on day 10 of no smoking =)
