I am in the process of interviewing for jobs after having been home full-time for the past five years. I am finding that I am MUCH more confident during interviews than I'd ever been previously. Is it a weightloss thing? Is it just that I feel like I look better? Or it is the knowledge that I've set and (almost) accomplished an important goal for myself?
What are your thoughts/experiences since becoming a loser?
I didn't have that much weight to lose, so to other people there is not alot of difference, but, to me there is. I feel so much better about myself. I am able to be more outgoing and approach people now instead of waiting for them to talk to me.
UPDATE: Got the job I wanted! I did lots of interviews, turned down a couple of offers -- wondered if I was going to regret that later -- while I was holding out for the one I really wanted. It paid off!
I start my new job June 13 and I'm so excited I almost couldn't sleep last night.
