Hi Dane~

Just popping in to say "hey"! So, I don't know if you know about this, but I finally had my doctor appt. May 9th, and she had a LOT of bloodwork done, (she did thirteen different tests)! Anyway, I finally got a call back from her office last Friday, and her assistant told me that my thyroid is EXTREMELY low. She couldn't tell me anything more, except that the doctor needed to see me again, so I have another appt. for May 30th, (soonest I could get in). I'm impatient to find out exactly what's going on & start some sort of treatment, (she prescribes Armour, so I'm really happy about that), but at least I know for sure that something is actually wrong with me, (& hopefully it's not anything really serious). I've been exercising a little less intensely & I had to stop low carbing for two weeks before the test, so I am now up to 155.8 lbs. and 30.9% BF... Do you have any idea how long it takes for people to start feeling better and losing weight after they start taking Armour? (I'm only telling you about all this and asking because I noticed that you were posting comments in the thyroid threads at Beyondlowcarb, so I thought you might have read something)... I've been doing a lot of reading there, but I couldn't really find any info about that. Oh, the other reason I'm here is to let you know that I'm still having trouble joining. (This time I got an email that said I was awaiting password approval & that they would let me know shortly if I'd been accepted, but then I never heard back). The first time I tried, I got an email saying that I was awaiting approval, then a little bit later I got an email that said "Your account has been cancelled"... Oh well, I'll keep trying!

~Take care!
Lena

Hello my friends! I have been off-line the past week due to computer problems, and then I had a bad migraine yesterday, so this week is a wash. I have a lot of stuff to catch up on, both on and off-line, haha, so bear with me. I'll be back online more after this weekend, so can catch up with you all (and offer help) then.

Stay strong!

Dane can I pick your brain? Here is the routine the gym has given me:

Day One
Chest Press: 20kg 3 sets x 12 reps
Chest Flys: 5kg 3 sets x 12 reps
Pec Deck: 15kg 3 sets x 12 reps
Lat Pulldown: 25kg 3 sets x 12 reps
Low Row: 25kg 3 sets x 12 reps
One arm row: 6kg 3 sets x 12 reps

Day Two
Shoulder Press: 12.5kg 3 sets x 12
Shoulder Flys: 4kg 3 sets x 12
Bentover Row: 4kg 3 sets x 12
Tricep Kick Back: 4kg 3 sets x 12
Tricep Pull Down: 7.5kg 3 sets x 12
Tricep Dips: own body weight 3 sets x 12

I have ammeneded this more to a low carber routine and also more closely to what yourself and other experts reccomend:

Day One

Chest Press: 25kg 3 sets x 6-8 reps
Chest Flys: 5kg 3 sets x 8 reps
Pec Deck: 20kg 3 sets x 6-8 reps
Lat Pulldown: 30kg 3 sets x 6-8 reps
Low Row: 25kg 3 sets x 6-8 reps
One arm row: 6kg 3 sets x 8 reps

Day Two
Shoulder Press: 15kg 3 sets x 6 reps
Shoulder Flys: 4kg 3 sets x 8 reps
Bentover Row: 4kg 3 sets x 8 reps
Tricep Kick Back: 4kg 3 sets x 8 reps
Tricep Pull Down: 7.5kg 3 sets x 8 reps
Tricep Dips: own body weight 3 sets x 6-8 reps

The trainer is devising the lower body routine for me also and will have it for me Monday.

What do you think? Changes? Suggestions?

I concur, are you okay? Hope things are going well your way!

I'm down to 179, and that was before I pumped! Super happy over here....about 3 pounds down so far. And most of that is just due to keeping carbs under 40 and staying away from sugar. I've also cut splenda out for this week to see if that helps with babies gas.

I can't wait to hit the gym, I think that will be easier with hubby home. For now I'm focusing on eating well and trying to jog and or fast walk every other day. I think once I stall I'll def. have to hit the gym tho...

Take care!

Hello Friends!!!!

I'm fine, just been crazy busy getting ready for our month long trip to the States!

I spent a few weeks on diet break, relaxing and getting prepared for the final phase, which I just finished yesterday. I'm composing my success story to post here in a bit--let me tell you, getting to goal is SWEET.

I have new pictures to share, too, which I'll post in a bit. I have reached my first goal of looking normal in a bikini, whew. When I get back from my trip, after a brief "vacation recovery" period, heh, I will be back at it hard, trying to get ripped. I'll have lots more time on my hands then so I'm hoping to log it all here and suck up the support.

Here's my weight loss progress for the last few weeks, doing Lyle's PSMF.

Code:
As Cat 2: Now as Cat 1: 1: 162.4 8: 156.8 1: 154.6 8: 150.0 2: 158.8 9: 157.2 2: 154.4 9: 151.4 3: 159.0 10: 157.8 3: 153.8 10: 149.4!!! 4: 157.6 RF 11: 158.6 4: 153.2 5: 160.6 FM 12: 157.6 RF 5: 154.2 6: 162.6 13: 160.0 6: 153.2 TOM 7: 158.4 14: 157.4 FM 7: 150.0

WOW!!

You've done GREAT!! Can I ask what approach you took? I got to goal once, and even with exercising, still had a gut. I carry my extra weight in a similar way to you too, so I'm very interested, specifically in your abs!

Congrats!!

Mike

Since Dane is now probably gone till and won't post for a few days, I'll fill it in: PSMF and lifting heavy twice a week plus a reasonable amount of SS cardio.

You have the same before body shape as i do...except for the perky "girls". I am excited seeing these pics..i now know what my body can look like if i keep on going. I do 45 minutes of high intensity circuit training a day, with a heavy resistance on weight training 20 minutes a day. I hope mine pays off as well as yours!

Hey Miss Dane,
You have done spectacularly well. You are living proof that hard work and dedication pay off....more importantly, your physique shows how important one's diet is to overall success in transformation. Way to go, girl! WOOT!
