Default Suggestion for Daily Low Carb support

Would you please add The Metabolism Miracle (MM) to your choices under the sub-forum, Daily Low Carb Support? I used to come here quite often but when I switched to MM, I couldn't find anyone to share support in this particular diet. There's lots of support at http://mmfriends.boardhost.com but it wouldn't hurt to open up a specific section here too.

MM is a carb-restricted diet that is based on science. It's specific to people who are insulin-resistant and involves resting the pancreas in Step 1, and controlling carb intake in Step 2 to permit continued weight loss without spiking insulin.

For those who have done Atkins for years, it takes some getting used to being able to have carbs (under strict guidelines, i.e., only 5 gms net at a time at specific intervals during the day in Step 1, and 11-20 gms at a time in Step 2 with meals and other specific intervals.) But it is the most enjoyable low-carb diet I've done that works for me. The toughest part is returning to Step 1 if you've deviated too much intentionally or due to illness. But that would be true for most diets anyway.

Thank-you for your consideration.

hello,

Your suggestion for a dedicated section based on this plan may be added to the ever-growing list of such requests, if there appears to be enough interest. No promises, though.

For now, I suggest starting a thread in the General LC forum .. and see that you've already done so here . If there are a few members interested in forming a group, the next step would be to start a daily support/check-in thread in the Buddies forum, and take it from there.

Best of luck with your chosen program

Doreen
