I'm curious if the people who started this back in September are still taking gelatin. What have the long term effects been?

I just bought some too, and also would like to know some long term results from WearBear and James Bond, and anyone else. Better bone health would be nice, but I'd even be happy with thicker hair and nails. Thanks,

Oh my gosh, it has a name! My knees have done this for years. I'm going to start the gelatin for this. If it helps weight loss, that would be great too.

Still doing gelatin! And so is James Bond, the cat, now 17.

We both love it.

James has been keeping up with his advances, still jumping. He went from the bureau to the bed the other day; a kitty Evel Knievel!

My thumbs rarely give me a twinge, and it's over in a minute. Even with the crazy, constant, rain we've been having.

I'm a believer.

Thanks for the update, Wear Bear. Glad that you and James continue to do so well.
I have had a major improvement in nail strength, maybe hair thickness and my joints are smoother too. However, I muddied the waters on testing gelatin because at almost the same time I started another product, BioSil, which is silicon. So lots of pill popping...have the Spring Valley gelatin caps taking 2600mg/day, 1 BioSil, 5,000 Biotin, 1,000 MSM, and the usual multivitamins. Hips and knees are perfect, a bursitis is now gone. Also do daily water exercise in the summer, which is great for joints but bad for nails, yet my nails are the longest, strongest and smoothest they have ever been in my life after about one month of adding these two products.

Wow I might have to get some myself.
My poor cat is a sneaky carbohydrate addict!! If I leave anything (for my husband and son) out she eats it!

My knee crunchies are definitely getting better. So far, I'm encouraged by the results. I could not bring myself to take it as a powder, though. I just do it in broth.

Something for all you gelatin fans:
No Bake Egg Free Paleo Pumpkin "muffins"
http://www.grassfedgirl.com/no-bake...ealing-gelatin/
This sounds so strange maybe someone else can make it and let us know how it tastes
She has other gelatin treats that were in her newsletter today as well:

So, I'm looking into gelatin for skin benefits. And found this older post on my very own haunting ground.

Can I just vent a pet-peeve here, please? So I'm not tempted to copy and paste it to tens of dozens of websites? Just because a gelatin is "grass fed" does not mean the cows lived an idyllic pastoral life grazing on live plants. CAFO cattle can be fed harvested grasses/straw and be labeled "grass-fed". All "grass-fed" means is they were fed grass, not that they grazed it themselves from a pasture.

Also, it seems the entire Internet has parroted and plagiarized either Great Lakes or Bernard Jensen the "grass-fed" gelatine options available. The only information I have been able to find on Jensen is that the cows are grass AND grain fed.

Also, when Great Lakes talks about their pork gelatin coming from "cloistered" pigs? Yeah, that's likely a nice way to say pigs in traditional indoor piggeries and/or farrowing crates.

Cloistered pigs! That's pretty funny.

Can't make this crap up, Nancy LC.

"6.What are the hogs fed?

Those hogs raised in farm areas get their daily normal feed (raw corn, pellets, selected waste foods from restaurants, and grocery stores). Cloistered hogs are fed raw corn, selected grain pellets, and a variety of natural foods from various food markets when available."
