Default Sausage & Cabbage Soup

3T olive oil
3 cloves of freshly pressed garlic
1/2 purple onion chopped

1 lb of bulk italian turkey sausage
6 pieces of sun dried tomatoes chopped
1 head of green cabbage chopped
1 zucchini, chopped

1T hot red pepper flakes
2T cumin
2 cubes of chicken bullion
4 whole bay leaves
1 T tomato bullion
6 cups of water (add more if you like more liquid)

In a large soup pot; combine first 3 ingredients and saute til onion and garlic permeat the air... 3-5 minutes.
Add the sausage and sun dried tomatoes to the oil. When the sausage has lost it's rawness, add the rest of the ingredients. Stir well, coating the cabbage and zucchini with all the flavors.
Lower the heat.
Cover. Simmer for 30 minutes.

Default Great Recipe Exploding with Flavor

PilotGal,
I've thanked you before for this recipe. I'm making it for the 2nd time today. You won't believe how many people I've gotten to make this. Most of whom are not doing low carb.
Thanx Bunches for posting this delicious recipe.

Cheers,
Mack
