Sounds sooooo good, but I don't think I can get Atkins icecream in Canada. I haven't seen it so I may not be able to try it.

You go ahead and enjoy it for me! lol

Hi Cornchip, welcome to our wonderful board. It appears to me that Atkins Ice Cream is only in the big cities right now. I live in the state capitol of Oregon, and haven't found it.

FionaMcB, check out Safeway for the Atkins ice cream, I know you can find it in all the Safeway's in Portland. And some one said that Freddy's is going to carry it, haven't seen it there yet.

Talking Lowcarb Store in Salem, OR

Hello Fiona,

I'm sure you probably already know about it, but apparently there is a Low Carb Store that recently opened up in Salem. I haven't gotten a chance to get up there yet (from here in Eugene), but I was talking to someone who said they have a great variety of products.

....must...drive...to....Salem...

Hi back Melissa,

I finally found the Atkins ice cream at our local Roth's. We were at the low carb store in Salem yesterday, they don't have the Atkins, but they do have their own that is about 1 carb for four ounces. Unfortunately, it's full of malitol, which doesn't agree with me. I really like the Atkins, though, so I do get some ice cream now and then. In this heat, it's really appreciated.

I sure wish we had a Trader Joes here. You would think the state capitol would have a good whole foods store.

Hi CornChip! I'm in B.C. and we don't have Atkins Ice Cream yet. I was talking to the lady in the Health Food store where I buy the Atkins Bars and she said they have a problem bringing in Atkins products because they don't have french on the labels. They're trying though beause there's a high demand for them.

If you find it pls let me know! Thanks.

Melissa, yeah I'm like that. You have a Trader Joes, and an Oasis and all this other good stuff. We have a 'health food store' but they are mostly into being vegetarian. You get a blank stare if you mention low carb items. I guess what I need to do is run up to Portland and go to Whole Foods, which is my favorite anyway. Pass a Trader Joes on the way there, but that's OK.

Cinnamon, I keep intending to buy one of the little ice cream freezers, but don't get around to it, too much other stuff going on with my son's weddng coming up in about two weeks.

Cinnamon, what recipe do you use to make your ice cream, I did buy a maker off of e-bay about 2 months ago but haven't made any ice cream yet.

Fiona- i understand! when you do buy one. i suggest buying one that you just freeze the bowl in your freezer. ( no salt or ice needed) its soooo much easier. i ended up buying one of those because i make it so much now and the other way was such a pain.

nana- i use the ice cream recipes off of the atkins website www.atkins.com they seem to turn out the creamiest. you can make everything ahead of time and store it in your frig until you ready to churn the ice cream.
