Default Apple Cider Vinegar

I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts about taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar twice a day for lowering blood pressure and blood sugar. I am not so interested in if there are any weight loss benefits, but more if anyone had success with lowering blood pressure or blood sugar. Of all people it was suggested by my dentist. He said to put a tablespoon in a glass of water in the morning and at night. I said can I put it in Diet coke LOLOL!!!

I've heard that method can relieve GERD, but I haven't heard the BP lowering from ACV. Interesting, here's a link:

I typically add Braggs ACV to salads, tuna salad, egg salad, and drink it in water with electrolytes for hydration. I like the stuff 👍 and use it as much as possible.

Tried vinegar, but even diluted in water the acid seemed pretty strong on my teeth. Anyone with suggestions on getting it down regularly without tooth damage?

Um, I just drink it straight.

And regularly brush with baking soda, not toothpaste. Mouth pH is in a better place. Not acidic all the time. A little acv seems less of an impact than a chronically acidic environment.

Eating lc also moves mouth pH, but baking soda is even better. And softer on the teeth than any toothpaste.

Maybe suck it down with a straw, or dilute with water.

IDK about drinking it straight, isn't that a little harsh on the throat and all the way to the stomach?

Coke, lemon juice and vinegar have about the same pH at 2.5

Maybe that's why you can use coke to eat off the corrosion from car battery terminals?

I tried the "throw a shot down my throat" and it DID avoid my teeth

But the back of my throat let me know all day. Not trying that again

If I didn't get any on my food recently, I put it in a small amount of water, and that I can throw back.

Always fun Tuit Nutrition's Amy on vinegar:

Good link with lots of explanations!
If I still ate salads that would be a good place to eat it.

I make a good tasting drink (my morning “tonic”) out of a glug of avc or other homemade vinegar, pink salt and a squeeze of lemon in a cup of water. I add potassium citrate, kelp drops for iodine and take a magnesium pill at the same time to complete my electrolytes. I usually sip a bit of this over the course of the day. It is a very savoury drink!

I do something similar with an electrolyte mixture of 16oz of water, 1 tsp of Calm Magnesium powder, 2 gm of sea salt, 1/2 gm of potassium chloride (NuSalt), and 1 tblsp of Bragg's ACV. Great before workouts or to just hydrate on hot days.

I have ACV in the fridge and for years I have TRIED and TRIED to like it but no matter what I do with it I still loathe it as much as ever. Lately I've been taking ACV capsules. No clue if they are as useful as the real thing, and just the SMELL of them makes me gag. But downing two capsules is pretty painless compared to all the ways I tried to drink liquid ACV over the years.

Have you tried using it as an oil and vinegar salad dressing?
