Sandi, you mention butterfly rash. Fill me in, as I was under the impression that is a classic sign of lupus or possibly other autoimmune mixed connective tissue/collagen issues? Thanks.

The essential oil is too strong to take straight. It will burn you. You need to mix it with some oil, about 1 drop to 1 teaspoon of oil. I like to mix it with coconut oil. Olive oil is fine, also. Do not mix it with vegetable oil.

yes of course i mix it with oil. god the first time i took it, i poured two drops on a spoon of honey but the honey wasnt fluid enough for the oregon oil to mix with it, it burnt like crazy i spat it all out in the sink.
i take 2 drops twice a day, is it ok?

I havent read the whole thread on this, but recently i have started using this as a regular medicine when necessary

i had inflammed gums on the side of my chompers and i flossed and nothing noted. so i took a swab of oregano oil and put it on the gums. stings a bit but then it totally numbed the pain.

after a few days, it healed up very nicely.

I now use it as a regular mouthwash and my mouth has never felt cleaner.
i dilute a few drops in water and swish around and gargle and then spit.

ive heard youre only to use it internally for acute illnesses but dont abuse it.
it can be used externally as well.

lately ive had a bit of a sore throat from a cold onset and i swalled a few drops in water and it totally makes it feel so much better. i think it has numbing properties as it kills the germs.

it truly is amazing stuff.
