Just like another poster said, estrogen is stored in our fat cells. When you start burning your fat cells, estrogen is released, causing a hormone surge for your skin to deal with. It is only short-term and should clear up within a month or so. The benefit to drinking a ton of water each day is soon your skin will look dewy and lovely!

Interesting. I'm 43, and a guy, and I've had a serious acne breakout since Induction - 5 1/2 weeks now. (I've always had very oily skin - comes from Dad, who even had acne the day he died at age 52.) I'm washing more frequently and using Oxy-10 but the problem isn't abating. I doubt my problem is estrogen but I have noticed a surge in testosterone . I'll just have to hang in there, I guess - the weight loss is a lot more attractive than those few zits can detract.

Why complain about excess oil? I have always had oily skin and hair. With proper care...it should not be a bother. Plus...that oil is a natural moisturizer....It will keep your skin and hair healthier and younger looking. It's dry skin that leads to wrinkles! Maybe that's why my family all looks much younger than they really are! I am 32 and still get carded for smokes!
