Default Its even worse than that

You have to realize that 99% of whole grain breads on the market also contain added refined sugars and fats. This bread is very different from the bread our ancestors have been eating for thousands of years. Ezekiel bread is a good choice if you are not allergic to any of the ingredients (I am). I have found one bread in San Diego that I can eat, and one in Israel, but that is it. Whole grain rice and oats are much easier to get in a healthy format. However, while whole grain consumption does tend to correlate with lower body weight, studies have not shown the type of weight loss seen on diets that increase fruit and vegetable consumption.

By the way, the Second Edition of Why Diet and Exercise Fail is now out on Amazon as Why Diet and Exercise Fail, Second Edition.

For me, when I do, I end up, sooner or later, on a massive carb binge, even when I eat "low carb" grain stuff. But since I've been without flour in so long, last time I tried it, I got so violently ill that I have no desire to add those "healthy" grains back in anyway.
