Just noticed today that <strike>the strike through feature</strike> no longer works. All previous posts with that feature now show the word 'strike' but not the effect.

For example: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showpost...&postcount=1075

(If this has already been repported in this thread, please excuse me - I don't have time to read through today.)

hi BarB,

HTML was disabled a few months ago, for both posts and signatures. This was done for security reasons, to prevent malicious code such as javascript from opening.

Members can use vB code to format text, tables, images etc in their posts and signatures. Here's more info about vB code .. http://forum.lowcarber.org/misc.php?do=bbcode ..

I am using Internet Explorer 6.0.2800... I am running Windows XP Home edition.

I am logged in already, and everytime I click the chat button on the main forum screen, it displays a new window box containing the following message:

"You must first login to the forum to chat. Click your browser back button and login/register" (http://forum.lowcarber.org/chat/chat/index.php3)

hi Korry,

Are you using a firewall, or maybe have adblocker software running? Those can prevent the chat room from functioning properly. Also, you need to make sure you have cookies enabled, otherwise your browser won't recognize your forum log-in for the chat room.

Well...

I added forum.lowcarber.org as a "trusted site" under per site privacy setting under Internet Options: Allow all cookies from lowcarber.org.

I wonder why it still does not work

Korry, also make sure your settings allow javascript, and popup windows, as the chat is opened (pops up) in a new window.

I finally figured out what was wrong...

LOL...

whenever I logged on I forgot to check the box "Remember my user name and password."

As soon as I realized that if I don't check that box, the cookie won't be save for this site.

So, I did check the box and now I can access the chat box/forum.
