Angry Pasting JPEGs in a Post Reply

I promise I looked for a post that directly speaks to this issue, but to no avail!!!

I use either my ipad or hp laptop when on this forum. I'm expecting to be able to simply copy a picture (jpeg) from either my desktop or photo alblum, go to my reply to thread window and do a right click paste, right? but when I right click, paste is not an available function like it is when I'm pasting text???

I was able to go to the manage attachment button under additional options, but, that results in a link. I'd like to be able to post the picture itself.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hmmm that's a good question, the only way I've been able to work around that issue is upload graphics to my own personal website and then write the code for the pic so that it appears in my post not as a link.... maybe someone will have the answer to your question. I can't wait to hear the response!

Thanks for posting this!

You can't do it. You can use the img tags to insert a url to an image, but that's it.

i appreciate knowing it can't be done. thanks for the definitive answer!

i found another thread that explained the necessary steps --> upload to gallery --> paste url. so simple! i spent the past two days scratching my head wondering how people got urls assigned to their jpegs. duh!
