Hi,

I'd like to look through my journal and start compiling some of my thoughts, but it's a mammoth 155 pages or so right now. I was wondering whether there's a way I can make it easy to print out my entire journal? Is there a single file you can send me, rather than my having to click on every page, select all, save it to word, and then print?

Hey Deb-

I don't know how much this will help, but if you open up your journal and go to the top to THread Tools-There is an option to see printable view. Choose that and then you can see an option to have 30 posts on one page. That cut my journal pages in half. It is still going to be copy and paste, but maybe it will be quicker.

Deb: I'll be interested in the answer to that question. I once printed out a single journal page to send to someone, and one journal pages ended up being four or five printed pages.

yeah - it's just that with 155 pages of journal, even if I do that it takes an age to copy and paste. I've done half my journal already the way paleo suggests (thanks!) and it's turned out to be nearly 600 pages so far in Word, and it took me hours. If there's any way the moderators can send me a single file easily so I don't have to do the rest it would be great...

It would be nice to have an Icon where you click it and it shows you ONLY YOUR POST!

That would be great to have not just for our journals but for when you are looking for something you posted months ago in someone's journal.

Just go to that persons journal and click, MY POST and only your post will appear.

MOD's can you do this?

Oh what a brilliant idea!!!! It's great to read the chat on the day that it's happening, but months later, when you're looking through trying to find What Went Wrong in December in your own journal, it would be so nice to be able to just pull up those pages. Same thing if you're trying to follow someone else's progress, (or steal their recipes )

The amount of posts per page in the printout function is limited, to prevent high load on the server when it's busy.

If anyone wants to print their entire journal, I can make it unlimited, so all will print on one page. We can easily do that on weekends or later in the evening (EST).

Re: Showing posts in a thread by poster, let me look into it and see if it's easy to implement. If I don't reply in a week or so, feel free to bump this thread

Oh, this would be *so* handy if you could swing it. When I check in with certain popular people , I have to hunt back two or three pages to find their last post. Being able to display [specified thread] with posts by [member] would be nice.
