This is a very apt description of Keys and consistent with everything I've read. He was forceful to the point of being the inspiration behind the Food Pyramid with McGovern and his "team" as pawns. I agree, Rob. And it shouldn't have a thing to do with how "nice" anyone is! This is supposed to be science.

It is supposed to be about results.

My biggest picture of Keys was his Minnesota Starving Experiment. When the subjects, conscientious objectors to WWII, began showing signs of mental distress, to the point of self-injury, he kept on.

One of those "experiment never to be repeated" kinds of things that the code of ethics now prohibits. Because people like Keys won't do it, otherwise.
