Question Why Do Some Experience Hair Loss????

Greetings!!!
I was wondering why some people are complaining of hair loss. I would think that the comsumption of protein would help make the hair an dhair follicles stronger, since hair is made of aminor acids/protein?

What causes the hair to fall out?
Can I prevent this from happening?
What kind of vitamins may help this problem?
How long could it last?

This is very important to me.....I would appreicated some advice!!!!!!

I had the same problem a while back and was really scared about it until I found a few threads on here that explained it. And now a month or two later the hair loss seems normal again and I'm not finding it all over the bathroom floor like I used to.

The reason that I found that caused it at least for me is because of the stress on the body. Totally changing the way you eat can be stressful to your body even if you are not mentally stressed about it it is a big event for your body to recover from. The stress usually can happen 3 months after the event which funny enough for me, was right when my hair loss started - my 3 month anniversary on atkins.

here is a link about it too:

hope that helps and don't worry about it!!

Hair loss, nails broken, getting cold could be also a thyroid problem.
