I believe I voted for wheat because I get such horrendous symptoms with it, I become an invalid. But as far as day to day what is most liable to blow my weight loss, it's definitely sugar. All my life, I've been craving sugar constantly, and it's just now slacking off. I'm not the slightest tempted to eat wheat again! --Gail

Any kind of bread would be my danger item. I love cakes and cookies, but I think I really had an addiction to bread.

BREAD, BREAD, BREAD. I'm definantly going to miss it. I mean, what's the point of butter if you can't put it on bread??

I haven't started a LC diet/WOL yet so I'm binging on bread & butter. I'll miss it.

Fine, fresh pastry or bread. Not just any bread. It must be artesian bread from one of the great bakeries - SemiFreddie, Acme, or Grace. That's what makes me jump off the track.

Bread from a real bakery not the grocery store stuff and macaroni and cheese. I struggle so hard to stay away from these.

Geesh, what is it about BREAD??!! That's my downfall food for sure, I can't have a slice and put it away, I keep going back for more, even if it's low-carb. I think it's wheat in general that causes this addictive behaviour, one bite and I'm a junkie, very frightening actually, feeling so out of control... So that's why I stay away from the stuff.

Dangerous for me is that my husband likes to take me out to eat and it seems like all the food is either breaded, slapped in a bun, or coated in some sweet sugary sauce. Finding food I can have is like running an obstacle course.

Chocolate.

I live each day in fear that somehow chocolate will get back into my mouth. If it does, I can kiss goodbye to this WOE for as many months as it takes me to break the addiction again. And I can kiss hello to another 15-25 lb in that time.

I'm actually truly terrified of chocolate right now, because it's everywhere, and I do not trust myself to be alone in its presence.

I believe that, in any battle of wills between myself and a bar of chocolate, the chocolate would win.

I have trouble walking by apples, peaches, and grapes...

and all the multitudes of yummy oranges, tangerines, and pineapple, and oh... oh...

I had no idea I loved fruit so much.

Bread! Rye Bread, I love Rye toast! Can't have any Rye bread in the house. White bread I can easily pass on but Rye is another story.

Oh I am really surprised I am in the minority with fruit being my weakness that I can't stay within reasonable limits with. I think I have considered it my 'safe' treat for so many years it is hard to think of it as being my enemy number 1
