Looking slimmer is more important than what the scales say. I would imagine that its all to do with whats going on inside, I know that water weighs heavier than fat and I've heard that when fat cells empty out their fat and get smaller they tend to fill with water first - so that would suggest we may put a little weight on before losing it and it would mean we look slimmer as well... maybe?? and then of course it depends on what you've got going on inside, a full tummy, bladder or bowel, pre-TOM swelling... dont underestimate the weight of water.

But I'm no scientist. Just go by how you look and feel rather than the scales

When I've lost or gained weight in the past, I've noticed it happens in jumps of about 2 pounds. I'll weigh about the same for several weeks, then almost overnight it'll change, then plateau again.

This was with the old style, eat less diets, which left me hungry and like everyone else, quit working. So far (after 2 weeks of lower carbing, I'm not really low carbing yet), it's something like 2 pounds already. Amazing ... and I'm not starving, *so* great.

Anyway, I don't understand how it works, but if your body is like mine, it doesn't change smoothly, like "they" think it does.

Beth

I just looked at your TT pictures. That was great how you kept up with the whole progression of healing! It looks great now. I love your success story, too. It's nice to see someone who doesn't jump on and off the diet, reaches goal, and maintains for years. You are an inspiration!

I've never considered a TT (and probably won't), but I'm afraid my tummy will look like yours did if I ever lose my weight. I only have 35 to lose, but I've had 6 large babies. We're the same age, too.

Congratulations, again, on all your success!

well, i think you are magnificant! i was hoping to find some of your daily menu's, but it doesn't look like you have a journal on here : ( Sorry for being nosy. I got down to goal, and became pregnant. after about 3.5 months, i lost the baby (that was in October). it was tramatic. For some reason now i cannot lose a lb, and seems i even gain when only eating meat. Atkins has been the only thing that has worked for me, and now i don't know what to do. Seeing this extra 20lbs only reminds me of what i lost, and i can't even recognize myself in the mirror. if you have any suggestions, or journals with daily meal plans, i would appreciate it. i'm reaching out for hope. Thank you for being a piece of hope out there for me and others like me!!!
Sincerely!!
msalicia
