I'd like to meet other women in the area who are doing this thing - I'm pretty new in town after a long absence, and it would be super nice to have some human contact with like-minded people. Who knows? Maybe we could even get some exercise once in a while...
I think support is KEY (and thus we find ourselves on these forums!). It is especially challenging when you are surrounded at home and in public with non believers!
I was at a retirement function the other evening (now isn't that all about eating!) and literally had to place my arms on the table so the servers wouldn't put down that creamy cheese cake with strawberry topping. If I removed my hands-a conscientious server would be right there with yet another slice!

I second Stephanie's invitation to Victoria! We try to adjust our meeting time to fit a visitor's schedule and we're VERY friendly!!! We usually manage to either deconstruct or reconstruct a restaurant's menu to fit OUR needs!
