There's a keto restaurant in Vegas I just found (PROTEINHOUSE), and emailed them as to what kind of oil they use to cook, and got a great response:

Thank you for reaching out.

We only use EVOO and Coconut Oil for all our cooking purposes.

Let me know if you have any other questions and thank you for being the best part of our company!

Their high protein burgers intrigue me. They have a Portobello Sandwich listed there.

Anyone try making mayo with the coconut oil that remains liquid at room temp???? CO refined is tasteless, so might be a good option to replace veg oil.

I would like to know too. I just got a new jar because my other one is running low. I love that stuff. By itself it smells like an Almond Joy

For vegetable oil less mayo, good ingredients; two great options that taste great to me:

Primal Kitchen avocado oil mayo and Chosen Foods avocado oil mayo

RE: homemade mayo discussion...

And then there is this... Bacon Mayo!

I am absolutely gonna have to try this just as soon as I have a cupful of bacon drippings saved! I mean "bacon mayo" in chicken salad? "Bacon mayo" in egg salad? "Bacon mayo" on a burger? YUM! YUM! and YUM!

I'm having a hard time thinking of anything I use mayonnaise in or on that wouldn't taste even better with a bit of bacon flavor. LOL!

I've done mayo with liquid coconut oil. It's funny that you can pay through the nose for mct oil in the health food section, or get it much cheaper as "liquid coconut oil" at the grocery.

Works fine.

Use to make it with Avocado oil (mixed in other stuff like red pepper)

and Olive ...

Refined coconut might be fun to try too but I hardly ever use Mayo anymore, currently using sour cream for substitute when needed stuff be messy and gooey - works pertty good in tuna fish

Even tired Grapeseed oil to make blue cheese dressing at the top of this page. It worked but I stay away from Grapeseed oil - I heard it had high temp properties - it's pretty processed so no go any more

lol, ya DrMay, if I remember correctly used co to treat her husband who had alzheimers.

CO is pricey at the local grocery , so I walk to the other end of the plaza to purchase at half the price. Never did bother to hunt down MCT oil. If CO was good enough for Dr May, then its good enough for me.

Cannot find that interview , which was done after her husband passed away.

BUT..... here is another remarkable story.
