Default Wraps or tortillas

I am on phase 2 of the SB diet. I am having a real problem finding wraps or tortilla's that are 100 % whole wheat or 100 % whole grain.

Can anyone suggest where I can find some?

The chain stores around are Smiths Food, Walmart, Harmons, Albertsons, Sam's Club, etc...

Thanks in advance.

Why not try a nice big lettuce leaf (of your choice) instead of a wrap?

Default why not?

Well, I don't really want to get into a debate, I eat baby spinach with it but want a tortilla or wrap for the meat.

Can anyone suggest a wrap/tortilla that fits this please?

I don't know where you are located but you should be able to find whole wheat/whole grain wraps in most any grocery or health food store.

Read the ingredients and look for the words"whole _____ grain"...if it says its enriched, do not buy it as that is too heavily processed.

Default Worth looking at

La Tortilla Factory has many different low carb tortillas as well as whole wheat/grain. I tend to get them at Walmart or HEB.

The website is http://www.latortillafactory.com/

The site also has a store locator. HTH!

do you have a Trader Joe's nearby? they have 100% whole wheat wraps. 1 wrap would be two grains.

Do your stores carry those (can't remember the national brand name at the moment) low carb tortillas? They are not as good as a real tortilla, but usually 5 carbs or less per.

FYI- On SB, we do not use low carb flour porducts as they are not using the whole grain and they are highly processed.
Its still highly processed flour!! Besides, we don't count carbs anyway.

Thanks for sharing though.

Just to clarify... so the La Tortilla's are not ok for SB? Other than lettuce as a wrap, what can I use then to have chicken in a wrap? I am so confused!

You can use products that use the whole grain.....low carb flour products do not use the whole grian and are highly processed.

Whole wheat/whole grain tortillas and or wraps that use the whole grain in the mfr'ing, are fine.

As I said earlier, read the ingredients, if it says its enriched, it is because they've had to enrich it due to the fact that they've taken all the nutrients out in processing.

At 3 weeks into your plan, I would suggest however, that you eat a whole grain before you go to bread ie: rolled oats for breakfast is a good place to start.....and accept Renee's good suggestion to use a large romaine leaf to wrap your meat in.
