My waist is down an inch. Nothing from the tummy though and the scales say the same as when I started the Relora earlier in the week.

Yup, I think I'll hop on this wagon too. My Relacore finally came today. I just took my first dose at lunchtime. I'll let you know when I see a change or after a week if no change. Hopefully I'll be writing soon!

I just went to GNC and got mine.. I told the lady there that I saw it on the internet for cheaper than what they had it for and she gave me 10% off.. I paid $44 with tax, and took my first on a bit ago..

I took my measurements earlier so we'll see..!!

She even asked me how old I was, because of the label..(Im 23) I told her that I called the company to find out about that and they said that it was okay and safe but by law they had to put that on their product.. THANKS LC FORUMS!! hehehe

So I will post about any changes I have... Wish me luck!!

Question More "energy"?

I'm intrigued by reading this thread to try Relacore, but I do not like anything that gives me a "speedy" affect. I have pretty much even been caffeine free for the past 10 years. A few posts have mentioned the Relacore made them feel jittery. Some have said they did not want to sleep until way past their normal bedtime. So...

Should I be afraid to try this stuff to deflate the "spare tire"?

Relacore doesn't make me jittery at all, SmittyD! Everyone is different, I guess.

I've been taking it for 3 days. It does what it's supposed to do (for me anyway). I'm calmer, not sleepy during the daytime anymore, and I do have more energy but it's not a caffeine/ephedra type false energy. It's more of a refreshed feeling instead of feeling drained all the time like I normally do. I'm not having any trouble getting to sleep at night, either.

As far as the belly fat reduction: 3 days on Relacore and I've lost 3 inches off my belly and 1.5 inches off my waist!!! The scale hasn't moved at all, but that's probably TOM's doing. I should mention that I've been pressed for time this week and have done less exercise than usual. I did measure my hips as well and have lost nothing there. Those darn hips.

IMO, the Relacore is worth trying. Might not work for everyone, but I'm very pleased with the results, especially the calming, mood enhancing aspects.

I will have to look into this. A lot of the weight I gained right before I started Atkins was in my stomach. I will be following everyone's progress.

Congratulations Kalico on the results.

NO change here. Wierd cause my clothes is fitting looser but no change in inches since the initial 5 lost.

Will keep posted. I too however sleep great, get up without the alarm clock and don't get tired during the day anymore.

I have a friend who takes Cortitrol for stress. I did a search on that and found a comparison list that included Relacore and Relora among others. Relora seemed the cheapest. I'm going into Canada Tuesday and thought I would see what is there and use the $ exchange and maybe save a few bucks

I will continue with the ooo because of the way my allergys DON'T act up

Question Relora same...

Does anyone know if Relora is similar to Relacore? What is the difference between the two? All I know one is less costly than the other. What is different?

Concerned,

I believe it's that Relora has no DHEA in it. Other than that it's the same from what I've read.

OK, I broke down and bought a bottle. I had been holding off because of concern over the DHEA--I've read that excess DHEA can cause an irreversible deepening of the voice in women.... and since I sing soprano, that would be a serious bummer.

I did some research on the net and found a discussion on a weight loss board about the DHEA content of Relacore (if you try the link, the quote below is on the second page of the thread). A doctor involved with Relacore told the board owner:
Quote:
. . . there is a little less than 25 mg of DHEA per DAY, or a little less than 8 mg per serving. Serving size is one capsule.

So I might start with 2 a day, to be on the safe side.

AFWife's success with this is really inspiring! And I'm interested in the cortisol issue: I think I may have high levels of cortisol, since (a) I've always had a belly; (b) I have chronic clinical depression--in remission on meds, thankfully--with a past history of anxiety as well; and (c) my libido basically evaporated over the last several years despite an excellent relationship with DH. Oh yeah, and (d) I've been really irritable. Excess cortisol is associated with all these things.

I'll report back in a few days.

I've had another half inch off my belly for total of 3.5 inches since starting Relacore! I'm very happy with this stuff. Still no change on the scales, though. I'm blaming TOM for that.
