Delish sounding! I have a new Ninja processor. I will give it a try with my frozen raspberries. Thanks!

I, too, do this with strawberries and Splenda, though I add a drop of vanilla and a pinch of salt. Frozen peaches do OK, as well, without cream or sweetener, adding a very small pinch of xanthan gum. Too high in carbs for most plans, but has the added bonus that DS will eat it. I've also tried freezing sweetened, lightened (heavy cream or unsweetened soy milk) coffee in ice cube trays and running them up in the blender. It doesn't work as well as frozen fruit, rather it produces something similar to a SBUX frozen treat thingie.

Almost forgot -- 1/4 cup of frozen blueberries in an equivalent amount of Sprite Zero produce something interesting, too. The blueberries freeze the liquid around them, so if you break it up a bit, you get something like a slushie.

Moth, the blueberry & Sprite Zero slushie sounds fantastic! I'll be trying that one very soon. Thanks.

A tweak of this fabulous recipe - it's higher up the carb ladder, though.

Berry Frozen Yogurt
2/3 cup frozen mixed berries
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1 pkt Splenda
Blend and Enjoy

Yum! I have some plain yogurt in the fridge..I'll have to see how it does with the berries.

I've been on a mixed berry kick with this - blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry all together! It's YUM!

I might tweek this further by reducing the yogurt to 2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons(1/6 cup) and adding 2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons(1/6 cup) of heavy whipping cream. It probably will lower the carbs a bit but also add some body to the ice cream, not to mention make it creamier.

Trader Joes has that berry combo. I have some in my freezer at all times! I made this ice cream yesterday. Delish! I will definitely have it again.

Oh how easy! lol this will be way less time consuming and all the possibilities! I'm going to find a sf coffee syrup and add some almonds - mocha almond! Thank you SO MUCH for the great idea - it's funny how the simplest things are right in front of us some times!!

I've been doing the fruit blended up with couple tablespoons heavy cream and a couple ice cubes for a real treat, too. Sometimes I take the berry blend right out of the freezer and just whip with a carbless cran-raspberry sparkling water I buy. Very refreshing for a mid-afternoon snack in the summertime.
