Default Weird itching from cheating!

Last night I had about 4 Godiva Dark Chocolates after my nice LC dinner (TOM, you know!) and I started itching about 5 minutes later. The itching is at my bikini line---nowhere else. There were no visible "hives" or rash, except redness where I rubbed. There are also no other reasons why I would itch there---no shaving, waxing, no new clothing or detergent.

It still itches slightly this a.m. But the really weird thing is that this has been happening in the last month or so when I have a cheat. Not always, so I'm not sure what I may have developed an allergy to, but it's definitely after a cheat. If I were gaining weight, I would say it's itching because the skin is stretching, but my weight is stable within 4 lbs.--a normal fluctuation for me.

I purposely avoided the chocolates with coconut in them since I know that I have developed an allergy to coconut. And I don't think it is just because they were in the same box. I remember it happened at my sister's last month (and I was not near any coconut) and I remarked on it. That might have been after pasta, not sure. It may have happened a lot there since I was eating carbs the whole trip.

Has anyone ever heard of an allergy that behaves that way? I'll have to write down what I've eaten in my journal that i use for measuring myself monthly. If I remember. Thoughts, anyone? Thanks.

Odd place to itch! But it probably means you're allergic to something you ate, hopefully not chocolate. :\

OMG! I had a Godivas coffee drink the other morning and now my right nipple (blush) is driving me crazy. I didn't make any connection until I read your post. Must be repayment for cheating--sigh...

Do you think it has something to do with Lady Godiva being naked???

Seriously though, I guess I should clarify that it's on my lower abdomen that I itch. I don't think it's the chocolate because I always eat 85% cocoa and this problem is intermittent. It's definitely a product of cheating, which I don't consider 85% choc. to be!

okay that's funny that you mentioned it because i've been itching there as well! hmmm...i haven't really CHEATED but I have been eating either nuts or atkins bars this week. I'm not doing induction so I don't classify that as a cheat...maybe that's why the itching occured?

Glad you posted this. I've been back on the lowcarb wagon for over 2 weeks and had a planned cheat last night and a similar thing happened - my palms suddenly began to itch. I put aloe vera on them which helped but it was very weird. I've done lowcarbing before and when I had a cheat that never happened (at least not that I rememeber).

Today I'm back on track and no itching .

Tam

I'm glad I'm not the only one who itches! I keep wondering if it's a certain ingredient or just carbs in general that my body is not as good at processing anymore.

Unhappy I itch as well

I have been itching in the same areas as MamaSara6 for the last 4 weeks when i started cheating after being cheat free for a month and a half. I've been very puzzled about this, its reduced some but i still itch. No more cheats for me!!
